In 2018 I had the pleasure of photographing Alexis and Neill’s wedding at Lewes Register Office and their reception at Pelham House in Lewes. Four years later I was delighted to hear that they had started a new family and they would like some photographs of eight month old Alasdair.

They contacted me in March and enquired into a good location near their home town Battle in East Sussex which made me think of Great Battle Wood. One thing Great Battle Wood is notorious for is Bluebells and with the season on the way throughout May I asked Alexis and Neill to postpone the shoot for a couple of months.

I am glad they agreed because the iridescent Bluebells made a beautiful backdrop for their family photographs.
