Olivia & Edward at The Royal Oak Lewes

For Lewes locals the Royal Oak is probably better known as sports bar. However, there is a fantastic function room upstairs with space for 60 guests that Olivia and Edward decided to use for their wedding ceremony. Both looked fantastic on the day and they were surrounded by enthusiastic friends and family, a testament to their marriage. The ceremony was conducted by a good mutual friend and they walked down the aisle to bubble confetti blown by the guests, a wonderful ending to the ceremony.

After a brief visit to Southover Grange in Lewes for some photos of the happy couple, the wedding party relocated to Beechwood Hall & Rural Park in Cookbridge for the Reception. Olivia and Edward arrived in their Uncles well-kept Morris Traveller, a wooden framed vintage car that suited the tone perfectly. Beechwood Hall & Rural Park is a great venue with outdoor space for games and a sizable hall to sit and eat. The weather couldn’t have been better which meant we could get the drone in the air for a huge group shot.

Olivia and Edward are a wedding photographers dream. Both had studied modern dance along with many of their guests so I for one was looking forward to the first dance, a personal favourite shot of mine, and the couple did not disappoint. After setting up a handful of off-camera flashes, Olivia and Edward took to the floor with a fantastic, semi-prepared dance. The performance was enhanced with friends and family joining in.

Really great with all of our guests, from making funny noises to make the little kids smile for photos, to taking great care of the older and less mobile guest and ensuring they were included.
